The German mixed double has clearly lost its opening game at the curling World Cup in Canada. In the first group game, Pia-Lisa Schöll and Joshua Sutor lost the host with Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant in Fredericton 5:10.
A total of 20 nations fight in two groups to move into the final round. In Group A, Germany still meets Sweden, South Korea, Scotland, Italy, Finland, Denmark, China and the Netherlands. The top three teams of each group reach the co-phase, with the group winners entering the semi-finals directly.
