Rüdiger Suspension Remains in Place

Rüdiger (32) had thrown a roll of tape bandage towards the referee from the substitute bench in the defeat against FC Barcelona (2:3 a.e.t.), for which he saw the red card and then insulted the referee audibly in German.

Several teammates and team officials had to hold him back. Rüdiger brought forward a pending operation on his left knee in anticipation of the suspension, so the penalty will only have an impact on him in the coming season.
