Jürgen Klopp to as Roma? This rumor recently made the rounds, even an Agreement was already reported. Now Klopp Himlfeaks About the Topic – with Clear Words!
Jürgen Klopp has commented on the bizarre reports of a supposed engagement with AS Roma himself and found clear words. “This story is bullshit. I will not be Rome’s new coach,” the 57-year-old put a stop to the speculation at a gala of the Liverpool FC Foundation.
The former Liverpool and Dortmund coach even went one better. “If you read rumors in the next few years that I will accept a coaching job, that’s bullshit. You can then be the first to say that.”
Jürgen Klopp Has Commented on the Roma Rumors
Earlier this week, La Stampa – Italy’s highest-circulation daily newspaper – raised the issue. According to this, Klopp had already agreed to in Rome. As a result, the message spread like wildfire before it turned out to be untenable.
How the Klopp Rumor arose so curiously
The newspaper curiously referred to a video of the corporate group of Roma’s main shareholder, Dan Friedkin.
In a video about the club, the Colosseum, the Capitoline Wolf, the Stadio Olimpico, St. Peter’s Basilica and the Pantheon were gradually shown. However, the fact that the initials resulted in the name Klopp seems to have been pure coincidence.
Klopp is currently not on the market anyway. He works for the Red Bull Group as Global Head of Soccer for the clubs around RB Leipzig and Salzburg. Previously, he was coach at FC Liverpool for nine years. He was at the sidelines for seven years each at Dortmund and Mainz.
