Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract in Saudi Arabia expires at the end of June. In a social media post, the 40-year-old hints at an imminent departure.
“This chapter is over. The story? Will still be written. I am grateful to everyone,” the 40-year-old wrote on social media.
Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr expires on June 30th. A departure had been increasingly indicated in recent weeks.
The USA or Portugal have been mentioned as possible destinations.
Ronaldo has been playing in Saudi Arabia since January 2023. Before that, he was under contract with Manchester United.
Ronaldo’s Big Goal
At Al-Nassr, he missed out on all titles in the past season – and most recently also the qualification for the AFC Champions League.
The striker’s big goal is to participate in the 2026 World Cup.
