His second assist to make it 2-2 in the meantime caused a stir. After winning the ball on the halfway line, Reus was played in about 25 meters in front of the opponent’s goal. The 36-year-old stood sideways to the ball and passed it on with his heel to Matheus Nascimento, also tunneling defender Timo Baumgartl. Brazilian Nascimento then remained cool in front of keeper Roman Bürki and pushed the ball in for the equalizer.
