Como causes a historic surprise in the Italian Cup. A German player helps decide the match.
Como 1907, coached by former midfield star Cesc Fàbregas, won an exciting thriller in the Italian Cup only after a penalty shootout.
Thanks to their 7:6 success over SSC Napoli, the club is in the semi-finals of the Italian Cup for only the second time in its history. The last semi-final appearance was 40 years ago.

A German player was also in the spotlight on Tuesday evening. Former Stuttgart and Hertha player Marc-Oliver Kempf came into the game in the 53rd minute and later scored in the penalty shootout.
Previously, Fàbregas’s team had taken the lead through Martin Baturina (39′). However, Conte’s squad struck back shortly after the restart through Antonio Vergara (46′).
Inter Milan awaits Como
After the full 90 minutes, it immediately went to a penalty shootout, in which, among others, Romelu Lukaku for Napoli and Maximo Perrone for Como missed – it was a thriller at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Kempf converted the 15th penalty, and since Stanislav Lobotka failed against Como goalkeeper Jean Butez, the men from Lake Como could celebrate. In their first semi-final in 40 years, Kempf, Fàbregas, and Co. will now face Inter Milan.
