Havertz again in team training
After his long forced break, the striker is apparently about to play shortly before his return.
The comeback of soccer player Kai Havertz apparently comes closer. The 25-year-old, who suffered a thigh injury in February, took part in a public training session of Arsenal on Wednesday. It is open whether the striker can already participate on Sunday (5.30 p.m./Sky) in the league of the Gunners against Newcastle United.
Most recently, Havertz had emphasized against the kicker that he hoped for a “timely” return. “It would be unprofessional to say an exact date,” said Havertz: “So far my recovery has been going according to plan.”
After the game against Newcastle, Arsenal still has to end the season to relegate FC Southampton (May 25). And national coach Julian Nagelsmann will also watch the progress of his striker closely, after all, the DFB team will meet Portugal in the semi-finals of the Nations League in Munich on June 4.
