The world champion of 2023 receives an indefinite contract from the Skyliners.
Klaus Perwas, assistant coach of the German basketball world champions, remains chief coach at the Bundesliga club Frankfurt Skyliners. As the Hesse announced on Thursday, the 54-year-old receives an unlimited contract and is also in the main responsibility for the current season. Meanwhile, Perwas will give up his job as an assistant coach of the German national team in summer.
Perwas, who won the German Basketball Federation (DBB) World Cup gold in Manila in 2023, also worked as an assistant coach in Frankfurt. After the separation from Denis Wucherer last March, he took over as head coach and led the Skyliners to relegation prematurely. After the end of his work as head coach, Perwas meanwhile had the opportunity to work again as an assistant, the Frankfurter continued.
