Celebrate referee! Incredible Vardy moment

With a 2-0 against FC Middlesbrough, the Coventry trained by Frank Lampard secures a playoff place.

In the League premiere, there is a violent collision in which the referee is also involved. Afterwards Jamie Vardy ensures a memorable scene.

Actually, the job of 38 -year -old Jamie Vardy is to score as many goals as possible. In the Premier League game between Leicester City and FC Southampton (2-0), the Englishman had to take over the referee’s job.

The memorable scene occurred in the 22nd minute: referee David Webb unhappily collided with Jordan Ayew and went down. While the referee rolled on the side and kept his hand in front of the face, Vardy hurried immediately.

Since the game continued despite the incident, Vardy took over the line for a moment. He grabbed the referee’s pipe, whistled and thus ensured that the game was interrupted.

Shortly afterwards, Southampton captain Jack Stephens also reached the scene to check whether everything is fine with Webb. The hard -hit referee then had to be treated for a long time by the doctors.

WebB must be replaced injured

After a good five minutes, Webb was able to straighten up and run his – still shaky – walk into the cabin. The referee had to be replaced by the fourth official, Sam Barrott, which led to a lavish added time of twelve minutes at halftime.

“The referee did with sorry,” said Leicester’s team manager Ruud van Nistelrooy at the press conference after the game: “He hit a wall named Jordan Ayew and that’s not easy. Vardy whistled to help him. I hope he is okay.”

Curiously, Vardy and Ayew met the two players who were involved in the memorable scene. The Foxes won 2-0 against Southampton, but it no longer plays a major role in terms of sport. Both clubs have already been relegated from the Premier League.
