Crashing bankruptcy for Hartenstein’s team in the NBA showdown

Defeat for OKC and Isaiah Hartenstein (r.)

The defending champion suffers a clear defeat at the San Antonio Spurs but remains table leader in the West.

German basketball player Isaiah Hartenstein and NBA champions Oklahoma City Thunder have suffered a rare defeat. The defending champions lost the Western Conference top game against the San Antonio Spurs 110:130 on Tuesday evening, marking only their fourth loss of the current season – but their third in the last five games.

Led by Keldon Johnson and Stephon Castle, the Spurs decisively pulled away, especially after halftime. Johnson scored 25 points coming off the bench, while Castle contributed 24 points. The hosts clearly dominated the final quarter with 43:28.

San Antonio improved to a 22:7 record and maintained second place in the West. For Oklahoma (26 wins, 4 losses), Canadian star player and MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander once again shone with 33 points, while center Hartenstein contributed eight points and twelve rebounds. Despite the setback, the defending champion remains the top team in the West.
