Darts Action with 13 Germans
The Players Championship Series 2026 continues in Wigan, England. Of the 15 German PDC Tour Card holders, two are not participating in Event three at short notice.
The PDC Pro Tour continues in England. After the first two events last week in Hildesheim, it continues today and Tuesday in Wigan.
Most of the 15 German Tour Card holders are also participating, including SPORT1 expert Max Hopp and Gabriel Clemens (strong quarter-final entry on Monday) – with two exceptions: Martin Schindler canceled his participation at short notice due to health reasons. Matthias Ehlers is also not present.
Among the international darts stars, World Championship finalist Gian van Veen is participating alongside Gerwyn Price. World champion Luke Littler, however, is skipping both tournaments, as he did last week. “The Nuke” will nevertheless be able to cope with the 15,000 pounds for the day’s winner, after he pocketed one million for his final triumph at the Darts World Championship.
Gary Anderson and Michael van Gerwen are also absent according to the PDC’s absence list. Play starts at 1 pm in Wigan, and in addition to ranking points and prize money, qualification for the Players Championship Finals in November is also at stake.
