
The countdown for the 2026 Darts World Championship is on. For the highlight of the year, presenter Jana Wosnitza is celebrating her comeback at SPORT1.
The start of the 2026 Darts World Championship is getting closer. From December 11th, the arrows will once again be flying towards the board in the famous Alexandra Palace in London. (Darts World Championship 2026 LIVE on TV on SPORT1, in the LIVESTREAM and in the LIVE TICKER) It is now confirmed that a presenter will be returning to SPORT1 for the highlight: Jana Wosnitza.
Wosnitza will take over the moderation of the broadcasts from December 15th to 19th, 2025, making her part of the on-air team of SPORT1 for the biggest darts party of the year. On all other World Championship days, Katharina Kleinfeldt will lead through the program.

“I am very excited to return to the Ally Pally and accompany the World Championship again. The Darts World Championship has a unique, electrifying atmosphere that can hardly be put into words. Every evening is special, every moment can make history,” explained the 32-year-old Wosnitza, adding: “I am full of anticipation for the games, the emotions and all the unforgettable moments that the 2026 Darts World Championship will bring us.”
She began a year-long internship at SPORT1 in 2017. From 2018 to 2020, she completed a traineeship at the station and took on her first moderation duties from 2019, including Fantalk and the 2nd Bundesliga. In the following years, Wosnitza was also one of the faces of the Doppelpass as a co-host.
In 2023, Wosnitza moved from SPORT1 to RTL . Initially, she was used in various sports broadcasts, especially the NFL. Since the 2025/26 season, she has strengthened the football team and hosts the broadcasts of Europa League and Conference League matches.
