The Dutchman once again backs the national player – and promises him more playing time after his injury.
Football national player Florian Wirtz has once again received backing from team manager Arne Slot at FC Liverpool.
“It was encouraging to see Florian play so well,” praised the Dutchman, referring to the Reds’ 2-0 win against West Ham United last Sunday, but added: “But it’s not the first time he’s played well for us. Maybe it’s the first time other people have noticed, but I’ve seen him play well for us many times.”

Arne Slot makes a special note about Florian Wirtz
Wirtz had made his starting eleven comeback against the Londoners after missing the embarrassing defeats against Nottingham Forest (0:3) and PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League (1:4) with a thigh injury.
Slot mood explains with Salah
For the upcoming league game on Wednesday (9:15 pm) against AFC Sunderland, Slot once again promised the national player a place in the starting formation.
Salah was naturally “not happy” about this, Slot admitted: “But Mo is so disciplined, knows what he has to do to stay fit, and no matter whether he plays well, plays badly, whether he plays or doesn’t play, he will always be a top professional.”
