Desert instead of Brazil? Ancelotti change threatens to burst

It was only on Monday that an agreement between Ancelotti and the Brazilian association had been reported. Now it may be different.

The almost safe change from Carlo Ancelotti to Brazil’s national soccer team apparently threatens to burst on the home stretch. As several Spanish media report, the coach of Real Madrid, unlike expected, did not sign the contract despite an agreement with the Brazilian Association CBF. The Italian is also currently examining a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, it said.

It was only on Monday evening reported in Spain about an agreement between Ancelotti and the Brazilian association. Accordingly, the 65-year-old, who has not only been criticized for the Madrilenen since the lost cup final against FC Barcelona (2: 3 n. B.), who should already take over Selecao for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers in June.

However, this should be one of the sticking points. According to Marca, the Brazilians were surprised that Ancelotti could only get in real in August after the club World Cup in the USA (June 14th to July 13th). The Starcoach also has an offer of over 50 million euros per season from Saudi Arabia.

By deciding on Ancelotti’s future, the German Double winner Bayer Leverkusen movement could also come to the coaching question. Xabi Alonso is the favorite for the successor to the royal, for whom he was already active as a player. Despite his contract until 2026, he has previously avoided Bayer beyond the summer.

According to media reports, the Brazilian association is again talking to the Portuguese Jorge Jesus (70), who had led Brazil’s top club Flamengo CR to the championship and triumph in the South American Copa Libertador in 2019. Jesus is currently working at the Saudi Arabian Club Al-Hilal.

After the humiliating 1: 4 in the World Cup qualification, Brazil had separated from Dorival Junior at the archrival Argentina at the end of March. The World Cup participation is within reach for Brazil, but the deficit to the already qualified leader Argentina is already ten points.
