Emotional moment for ski icon Hirscher

The 24 -year -old does not feel comfortable - and therefore does without the last season competition.

Despite his injury, Marcel Hirscher can look forward to a conciliatory conclusion to the ski season. Hirscher makes the success emotional.

Great success for Marcel Hirscher and that, even though he had to end his own season early after his cruciate ligament rupture. But at the end of the season, the cheering at the Austrian is still great.

With Henrik Kristoffersen, an athlete, who drives for Hirschers-Kifirma van deer-Red Bull Sports, secured the crystal ball for victory in the Slalom World Cup. The Norwegian won the Discipline World Cup for the fourth time.

Hirscher was extremely pleased on social media: “It is incredible what has developed from our first joint ski test-great respect for you and the entire Van DEER team for victory in the Slalom World Cup.”

Hirscher emotionally: “Feel surreal”

Success feels “somehow surreal for him,” said Hirscher: “This was only our third World Cup winter and it feels like our trip has just started winning the Slalom World Cup in Sun Valley was an emotional moment”

For him personally, the World Cup winter was to forget. After his much -noticed comeback, he was already tore in his cruciate ligament in December.

Nevertheless, Kristoffersen’s success is now also a conciliatory conclusion for him. “These are the moments when you become aware of what our team has already achieved together in such a short time. I am happy, proud and very grateful to everyone who contributed to this success,” said Hirscher.

In addition, very gratifying for the Austrian: With the Norwegian Timon Haugan, another athlete with his skis drove his strongest season with victories in Alta Badia and in Schladming.
