Jonathan Asp Jensen almost became the great hero for Grasshoppers Zurich. However, his brilliant performance was undone late in the game.
Jonathan Asp Jensen delivered another strong performance for Grasshopper Club Zurich but could not lead his team to victory against Young Boys Bern. The loan player from FC Bayern recorded two assists and one goal in the 3-3 draw.
In the first half, the 19-year-old Dane set up the goals for Simone Stroscio (16th minute) and Oscar Clemente (25th minute). After the break, he scored the temporary go-ahead goal to make it 3-2 himself.

During an attack on the left side, Asp Jensen received the ball, dribbled with speed into the penalty area, left a defender in his wake, and finished with a quick shot into the far corner.
It was his fifth goal in his eleventh game for Grasshoppers, now adding four assists. Against Bern, he took five shots, recorded 60 touches, and engaged in 14 duels. The Blick newspaper described it as a “gala performance by this super teen from Denmark.”
“At the moment, I’m not thinking about the goal, I’m thinking about the three points we threw away in the last five minutes,” said the near-matchwinner himself: “When we don’t win, we’re naturally frustrated. We played a wonderful first half, then had some problems, but got back into the game. And then we gave them a penalty in the final minutes.”
Indeed: Although his team was playing with a numerical advantage after Tanguy Zoukrou’s red card following his goal, they could not maintain the lead until the end.
Chris Bedia equalized for Young Boys from the penalty spot, and shortly after, Saidy Janko was also sent off.
In the standings, Zurich missed an opportunity to make a bigger leap. The club, to which Bayern frequently loans players, is second to last in the Super League.
