Inter Fans Cause Scandal
Inter Milan remains the benchmark in the Italian Serie A – but the Nerazzurri fans caused a scandal.
During the 2-0 (2-0) victory against US Cremonese, a firecracker was thrown from the Inter block onto the pitch in the 49th minute, directed towards home goalkeeper Emil Audero. The 29-year-old initially went to the ground.
Serie A: Goalkeeper Can Continue Playing
The Inter professionals, led by captain Lautaro MartÃnez, complained loudly to their own supporters. Audero stood up again after a brief treatment. The match resumed after a few minutes of interruption.
Inter, with German international Yann Bisseck in the starting eleven, was already leading 2-0 at this point through goals from MartÃnez (16′) and Piotr Zielinski (31′). The lead over second-placed AC Milan is eight points after 23 games. However, their local rival will only play on Tuesday in Bologna.
