The start promised nothing good, but the end was all the better for it. Former Leipzig professional Benjamin Sesko was substituted into the Premier League match between Manchester United and FC Fulham in the 74th minute, with the score at 2-0 for the Red Devils.
Just moments later, the 22-year-old could have made it 3-0, but his header only hit the post. After two late goals from the visitors, including one in the first minute of stoppage time, the squandered victory seemed sealed. But things turned out differently.

The clock on the stadium screen showed 90+4 when the former Leipzig player sent Old Trafford into a frenzy.

Bruno Fernandes had broken through on the right side and, at full sprint, played a cross at the height of the penalty area. The ball eventually landed at the penalty spot for Sesko, who was able to control it and, with a turn, slot it into the top right corner for the 3-2 final score.
The fans in the stands erupted, and the Slovenian was surrounded by substitute players on the field, full of enthusiasm. The British press also showed euphoria.

And the match-winner himself was absolutely thrilled by what he had experienced. “To score the winning goal at home is incredible. I’ve dreamed of it. But it’s not just for me, it’s for the whole team. We are currently in a really great phase,” he said in an interview with Sky Sport .
Since the change of manager – United installed Michael Carrick for the dismissed Rúben Amorim – United has won all three league games.
The team has thus moved up to fourth place in the table.
