Martin Breunig transfers to the Towers
The center Martin Breunig is leaving French first division team SLUC Nancy in early November after only a few weeks.
After only a few weeks, Martin Breunig is leaving French first division team SLUC Nancy and returning to the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL).
The center will transfer to Veolia Towers Hamburg following the game against SIG Strasbourg (November 1st), as both clubs involved in the transfer announced on Friday.
Breunig, who led Syntainics MBC to the finals in their own hall during the Top Four for the BBL Cup last season and then won the title with the club, is an “impact player,” said Towers coach Benka Barloschky: “We were looking for experience and physicality to strengthen ourselves in the key positions and be deeper.”
Breunig (33) had previously played in the BBL for Ludwigsburg, Bonn and Oldenburg before his engagement in Weißenfels. Hamburg started the season weakly and is last without a win after four games.
