FC Barcelona will have to do without Dani Olmo for an indefinite period. However, findings from the initial examinations are making the Catalans optimistic.

Barca star Dani Olmo did not injure himself as seriously as initially assumed during his time with the Spanish national team.

The Catalans announced on Monday that Olmo suffered a muscle injury in his left calf, but the connective tissue was not damaged. However, it is not known exactly how long Olmo will be out.

Return by the Clasico?

Initially, there were major concerns in the FCB camp that the ex-RB Leipzig professional might have suffered a larger muscle tear.

Barca now hopes for a return before October 26th – when the Clásico between Real and Barcelona takes place in Madrid.

Striker Ferran Torres also suffered an injury during his time with the Spanish national team and had to leave early.
