European champion Tristan da Silva wants to stay with the NBA team Orlando Magic for another year. The basketball club from Florida has exercised its option for a third contract year, binding the Munich native until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Power forward da Silva was selected by the franchise with the 18th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

The German national player averaged 9.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in 20.3 minutes per game during the first four matches of the current NBA season.

In his rookie year, da Silva (24) played in 74 regular-season games (38 of which as a starter). World and European champion Franz Wagner and world champion Moritz Wagner also play for the Orlando team.

The former college player da Silva (Colorado Buffaloes) has made 15 appearances for the national team. The highlight of his career so far was winning the European Championship title alongside his older brother Oscar (Bayern Munich) in September in Riga, Latvia.
