The former NBA MVP Russell Westbrook has found a new team. The 36-year-old point guard, who was elected the league’s most valuable player in 2017, is joining the Sacramento Kings before the start of the upcoming season.

With the Californians, the previously unsigned Westbrook will once again play alongside national team captain and European Championship hero Dennis Schröder.

NBA: Westbrook plays together with Schröder again

Reportedly, Westbrook signed a contract with the Kings for the so-called “veteran minimum” of $3.6 million.

In the past season, the physically strong guard played for the Denver Nuggets. He averaged 13.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 4.9 rebounds with a strong field goal percentage.

Westbrook previously played with Schröder at the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers.
