Premier League: Ex -master hero calculates after relegation – “total embarrassment”

Jamie Vardy reacted with very clear and emotional words to the fixed descent from Leicester City from the Premier League.

“At this point I don’t even know what to say. No words that I have can ever express my feelings of anger and sadness about the course of this season. There are no excuses,” Vardy initiated his statement on social media.

Jamie Vardy once became champion with Leicester

Five game days before the end of the season, Leicester City is the second relegation from the Premier League. Since the 0: 1 bankruptcy at Liverpool FC on Sunday, relegation has no longer been possible.

“We failed”: frustration after descent

“We failed collectively, as a player and as a club,” the 38 -year -old attacker expressed his disappointment. “We just can’t hide and I refuse to act like that.”

Vardy has been playing for Leicester since 2012, during this time “so many heights and successes have been experienced and this season was just miserable and for me personally a total embarrassment”.

The Englishman, who was already in the sensational win of the 2016 English championship, contributed seven goals this season. So far, however, four victories have only emerged for Leicester.

Vardy apologizes to the fans

Vardy was aimed at the fans: “It hurts and I know that you feel it too.” He is sorry “that we have not performed”.

Vardy’s current contract expires at the end of the season. It is not yet clear how things will go on for the former international.
