Schröder excels in win against Lakers
With 25 points, the point guard leads his team to victory. It was the best performance so far by the Kings’ new addition in the preseason.

German basketball star Dennis Schröder delivered a strong performance in the final test before the NBA season start. In the narrow 117:116 victory of the Sacramento Kings over the Los Angeles Lakers, the captain of the German world and European champions scored a total of 25 points, making him the best scorer of his team.
The 32-year-old made ten of his 17 field goal attempts, converted four free throws, and provided two assists. It was the fourth and strongest appearance so far by the leader in preparation for his new team.
Schröder moved from the Detroit Pistons to California in the summer, after which the point guard won European Championship gold with the national team two years after the World Championship. The Braunschweiger native starts the NBA season with Sacramento on Thursday night at the Phoenix Suns.
