The Swiss dominator secures two overall victories, Anton Grammel runs his best career result.
The Swiss ski superstar Marco Odermatt has scattered the last doubts about his fourth triumph in the overall World Cup in a row with the next podium. The Olympic champion secured the small crystal ball for the fourth time with second place behind his teammate Loic Meillard at the giant slalom in Hafjell/Norway. Odermatt missed his ninth win of the season by 0.14 seconds, third in Thomas Tumler (+0.23 seconds) was also a Confederation.
Anton Grammel (+1.69) qualified with a brilliant second run on the 1994 Olympic mountain as the only German for the World Cup final in Sun Valley/USA. He made 15 places well and celebrated his best career result with tenth place.
“I secretly hoped that I was allowed to go to the final, which is optimal,” said the 26-year-old on ZDF. He is already taking it from the season that the competitors “all only cook with water, that makes hope”.
Odermatt, however, is a class of its own. In the overall ranking, he is five races before the end of 635 points ahead of Henrik Kristoffersen, in the giant slalom he distanced the Norwegian by 106 points. He has also won the Super-G ball and for the third time, in the departure he takes 83 points ahead of teammate Franjo van Allmen for the last duel in the States.

Fabian Gratz (+2.72) drove into the points in Hafjell as 25 in the eighth race for the fifth time, but missed the season finale. Stefan Luitz scraped past the second run for 35.
