Hummels was back on the pitch for the first time in two games after his involuntary break. Since February, the former BVB professional has only played two out of eight competitive games. In total, the former international player has only played seven games over the full 90 minutes.
After just 22 seconds, Matias Soulé scored the only goal of the encounter. It was the fastest goal of the Giallorossi in Serie A since the data acquisition in the 2004/05 season.
Previously, the record was 30 seconds – set up by Roma legend Francesco Totti on January 21, 2012 against Cesena.
