A strong last jump from Wellinger at 139.0 m gave the DSV quartet hope again, but in the end there was a good four meters to the podium. Defending champion Germany had always won a medal in all six mixed competitions in the World Cup history, most recently even five in a row.

For the first time no German on the podium

In the fourth ski jumping competition in Trondheim, no German was on the podium for the first time. Wellinger and Friday had previously brought individual silver, the women’s team also bronze.

For the German men around Wellinger, the team competition continues on Thursday (4.20 p.m.), a medal is at least possible there. At the end of the World Cup, the individual decisions on the large hill follow on Friday (women) and Saturday (men).
