Ramona Hofmeister leaves very thinly in the round of 16 at the Snowboard World Cup. Ski-Ass Ester Ledecka has to give up in the final this time.
The German hopeful Ramona Hofmeister clearly missed the medal ranks in the parallel slalom at the World Championships in St. Moritz.
After the failed qualification in the parallel giant slalom on Thursday, the six-time World Cup winner was initially the second best after the preliminaries on Saturday, but failed by two hundredths of a second on the Polish Aleksandra Krol-Walas in the round of 16.
Melanie Hochreiter also left the round of 16, she could not end her run. Cheyenne Loch did not make it to the top 16. The 30-year-old failed narrowly with two hundredths of a second in the 17th in qualification.
Phenomenon Ledecka gets the next World Cup medal
As on Thursday Ester Ledecka (Czech Republic) and Tsubaki Miki (Japan), gold and silver. After a fall of the Czech, Miki managed the revenge, Ledecka was happy about silver. Bronze went to Michelle Dekker (Netherlands).
Two days earlier, all-rounder Ledecka had crowned world champion in the parallel giant slalom. The ski and snowboard Olympic champion dominated all of her races and has been at the top of her first World Cup participation since 2017.
Most recently, Ledecka had been traveling in the Alpine Ski World Cup.
