Too warm! Bob competitions laid

Lake Placid's ice channel

The weather influences the Bob World Cup schedule in Lake Placid.

Due to forecast higher temperatures, the two final competitions of the BOB World Championship in Lake Placid in the US state of New York have been brought forward one day to Friday and Saturday. This was announced by the International Bob and Schontenverband (IBSF).

For Sunday, where the decisions in two of the women and in the four of the men were originally supposed to have been made, double -digit temperatures have been announced on Mount van Hoevenberg. In order to “ensure the best possible rail conditions”, the runs one and two will rise on Friday instead of Saturday, the medals will be awarded after the runs three and four on Saturday.

Germany celebrated triple victory

The men start their passages at 1 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. (CET), the women drive through the ice channel from 6 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. (CET).

Last weekend there was a triple victory for the BOB and SCHLOTENBEILBER for Germany (BSD) in two of the men, led by Francesco Friedrich. Laura Nolte won the silver medal in the Monobob for women.
