After leaving Bayern, Mathys Tel is still searching for his form – and, above all, a regular spot – at the Spurs. The attacking talent is apparently planning his departure.
The move to Tottenham Hotspur has not brought Mathys Tel’s career the momentum he hoped for. The 20-year-old attacker continues to have problems in the Premier League and is now apparently pushing for a temporary departure from the Spurs.
According to information from the English newspaper The Guardian , the former Munich player has informed his club that he is open to a loan move. As a reason, he reportedly cited the limited playing time under coach Thomas Frank.

Mathys Tel apparently wants to leave Tottenham on loan
Will Tel move to Turkey?
Tel is reportedly being courted by the two Turkish top clubs Galatasaray and Fenerbahce Istanbul, among others. FC Paris has also reportedly expressed interest. The English newspaper also speculated that Italian and Spanish clubs had inquired about Tel’s situation.
The question remains whether Tottenham is willing to let Tel go, especially after the club just sold Brennan Johnson to Crystal Palace for £35 million (a good 40 million euros).
Tel mostly a substitute at Spurs
Tel wants playing time so he doesn’t have to bury his World Cup dreamily prematurely. This season, the French U21 international has played 19 competitive matches for the Spurs. However, he was mostly used as a substitute, resulting in only 685 minutes played in total. He scored three goals.
The Spurs paid FC Bayern 35 million euros in the summer to secure Tel permanently after an initial loan.
