Bitter news for SSC Napoli! As the Serie A club announced on Monday afternoon, Kevin De Bruyne has suffered a serious thigh injury.
A club statement said: “After his injury during the match against Inter, Kevin De Bruyne was examined at Pineta Grande Hospital, where a serious injury to the right thigh was diagnosed. The Azzurri player has already begun rehabilitation.”
Injured while taking a penalty
In the 33rd minute on Saturday, the 34-year-old scored the 1-0 for his team with a penalty, suffered a serious injury in the process, and was close to tears.
De Bruyne had to be supported by two staff members on his way to the dressing room. He could no longer put weight on his right foot.
