Barca keeper Marc-André Ter Stegen reveals some details about his relationship with Lionel Messi. He also talks about conflicts.

Barca keeper Marc-André Ter Stegen unpacked his previous relationship with superstar Lionel Messi-and also addressed some conflict points.

“We had moments when it didn’t fit between us because he got upset about me and I was about him,” said the 32 -year -old in the picture podcast “phrase mower”.

Messi is “the only player who can shoot you in your face if he wants. The others would shoot somewhere, but he has the skills. He did that several times when he was angry”. The Argentinian meant that “not bad”.

Messi? “That won’t exist”

However, Ter Stegen did not want to give the exact reason for the clashes. Instead, he raved about his former teammate.

“He was super impressive as a character on the square and in the cabin. It was something special to see how he plays football, how he sees situations that no one else sees. And with ease – that will no longer exist,” explained Ter Steg.

The currently injured DFB goalkeeper had “always great respect” for Messi: “And he often accepted or respected my opinion.”

As expected, the league appealed against the decision of the sports council.

Continues to be injured

The two played together for the Catalans in 2014 and 2021 until Messi moved to Paris Saint-Germain. In the meantime, the world champion of 2022 is running for Inter Miami in the MLS.

Ter Stegen is still under contract with Barca, but has been laboratory on a patella tendon tear since September. The former Gladbach professional could soon celebrate its comeback.
