NBA trainer icon Gregg Popovich had to be taken to a hospital in a restaurant last Tuesday after a medical incident. As ESPN reported, the 76 -year -old success coach of the San Antonio Spurs, who had suffered a stroke last year, is now at home and “well -being”.
Previously, the celebrity portal TMZ had reported that Popovich had been removed on a stretcher. There is said to have been no danger to life.

Popovich lacks the Spurs since his stroke on November 2. Assistant Mitch Johnson looked after the team, who missed the Playoffs as the 13th of the Western Conference, in Popovich’s absence as an interim coach.
Popovich wants to concentrate on his health
In February, Popovich had announced that he would continue to concentrate on his health, “in the hope that I can be a coach again in the future”. In 2023 he had approved a contract extension over five years at San Antonio.
Popovich has been looking after the Spurs since 1996, and no other coach stayed with a team for so long. He led San Antonio to five championships (1999, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2014), with 1412 victories in the main round and 170 victories in the playoffs, he also listed the eternal list of the NBA trainers. He celebrated the gold medal with the United States at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021.
